Empowering Women Through Self-Defense: Stree Safe Initiative

In a visionary effort to empower women, the Rotaract Club of B.K. Birla College organized a self-defense session on the occasion of India's 76th Independence Day. The dedicated team left no stone unturned in preparing for this crucial project, and their efforts were nothing short of commendable.

On the morning of Independence Day, at 9:30 AM, the project unfolded on the lush lawns of B.K. Birla College. This initiative, spearheaded by "Professional Development Avenue" and "Public Relations and Marketing Avenue," aimed to equip women with essential self-defense techniques.

A noteworthy highlight of the event was the presence of the esteemed Mr. Mangesh Shetye, a renowned celebrity trainer. With a remarkable track record that included being a six-time national Muay Thai champion and an international medalist, his introduction left everyone in awe. Mr. Shetye's journey of hard work, impressive achievements, and unwavering success served as a powerful source of motivation for all attendees.

Under Mr. Shetye's guidance, participants were not only educated theoretically but also had the opportunity to put self-defense skills into practice. Various forms of self-defense techniques were imparted, enabling women to not only bolster their physical strength but also boost their self-confidence.

The entire team poured their hearts into this initiative, working tirelessly with enthusiasm and dedication. Their hard work bore fruit, with more than 300 enthusiastic participants joining in. A total of 12 self-defense techniques were taught, with attendees actively engaging and practicing each one. The overarching goal was to instill a sense of security and independence, ensuring that women could protect themselves in adverse situations.

The atmosphere was charged with positive energy, reflecting the success of the Rotaract Club of B.K. Birla College. This initiative, aptly named "Stree Safe," embodied the spirit of empowerment and preparedness. It served as a beacon of hope and a testament to the power of collective efforts in making our society a safer and more inclusive place for women.
